Posting Your Score
1. Tuesday Play Day scores, ACE Day scores and all Major Tournament scores except for Presidents’ Cup will be entered by the Tuesday Play Day Committee, Special Tournament Scoring Committee or the Pro Shop as hole-by-hole scores in Golf Genius and subsequently posted to GHIN. Tuesday games that are not played under the Rules of Golf such as scrambles, shambles, 4 clubs and a putter, will not be posted to GHIN. Tournament scores and ACE Day scores will be posted as “C” (competitive) scores; regular Tuesday Play Day scores will be posted as “H” (home) scores.
2. Members will post all rounds except those set forth above. Neither the World Handicap system nor the Rules of Golf provide for practice rounds. Scores should be posted to GHIN before midnight on the day of play.

3. Incomplete Rounds: Beginning January 2024, changes have been made to the World Handicap System with respect to posting scores. If fewer than 9 holes are played, the score is not acceptable for handicap purposes. In this situation, the player should fill out Posting Correction/Exceptions form so that the Handicap Chair will know why no score was posted for that round. When a player posts a 9-hole score, a 9-hole Score Differential will be calculated for the 9 holes played, and that number will be combined with an expected score (or neutral value) based on the player's Handicap Index to create an 18-hole Score Differential. When 10-17 holes have been played, a value is calculated from the holes played and an expected score will be used for any holes not played. These values are added to determine the 18-hole Score Differential. The player will be required to post her hole-by-hole scores when 10-17 holes are played so that the appropriate Score Differential can be calculated from the holes that were played to combine with the expected score for the holes not played.
4. Incomplete Holes: If a player picks up on a hole, she records her Most Likely Score. If the player is: 5’ or less from the hole, add 1 stroke, between 5’ and 20 yards, add 2 or 3 strokes (depending on the position of the ball, difficulty of the green and ability of the player); more than 20 yards, add 3 or 4 strokes. However, that score must not exceed Net Double Bogey for that hole. Incomplete hole scores should be marked with an “X” preceding the stroke number.
5. Rounds that are not played under the Rules of Golf, such as a Scramble, Shamble, a round played alone, a round played as a teaching lesson, may not be posted.
