Board proposal for maximum score
It has been proposed to apply the Equitable Stroke Control (ESC) to Tuesday Play Days as indicated on Page 46 of our handbook:
Handicap 9 or less……..double bogey
40 and above……………10
Mark the scorecard with the appropriate score and an “X”. You will still be “in the game”, but will not get your “pops” on that hole for the game.
This will promote pace of play.
Proposal is to change the bylaw by reducing the number of the Nominating Committee from 5 to 3 members with 2 alternates.
“The Nominating Committee will consist of three members. One member and one alternate appointed by the Board, two members and one alternate appointed by the membership.”
Both of these proposals will be voted on at the October General Meeting

"How do I know which are the combo tees?"
Ever wonder when you are looking at the scorecard which tees are the combo tees? Here is a view to determine which tees are the Yellow/Red combo or the Red/Aqua combo tees.
CHECK OUT ALL THE NEW PINS THAT ARE AVAILABLE
Tuesday Play Day Chair Sandra Murray has brought back the Two Club pins and/or Two Club Bag Tag. In addition to those, she has also purchased the following pins: HIO, Low Gross, Low Net, Most Improved, Eagle for par 4 and par 5 holes. Descriptions of the awards, how to obtain the pins are under the 2019 Handbook header Tournaments/Awards. Pictures of the pins are under the MORE header Pictures of pins.
HOLE-IN-ONE TRAIN STILL ON THE MOVE
The heat of the summer is building and so are the Holes-In-One. Congratulations to Sally Drennen on her fourth HIO. She aced T6 during the Crazy Par 3 event on June 28th. Just a reminder regarding the Hole-In-One program; it is voluntary and a member may join any time during the year but must have paid before the hole-in-one occurs. The HIO may occur any day of the week; it must be during an 18-hole round of golf played on any of the SB HOA#1 courses. It may be counted on away courses if it is part of any SBWGA-18 sanctioned event. When doesn't a Hole-In-One count? Please look at the following link: https://www.golf.com/golf/2019/07/02/21-times-hole-in-one-doesnt-count/

# Course Handicaps set to a Max of 36
(USGA indexes will report from users GHIN record).
# in 2018 a change was made to " fix must pay 3 places Gross & Net per tee box" as this was totally inflexible with signup and resulted in exceeding 33% of field to pay.
This Sweeps report has a published Payout Schedule with minimum of 3 on the tee.
# ACE Day extra flight places are awarded to GROSS.
Any improvements do let me know.
